Why This Exists
Every bookkeeping tool we found assumed you already knew accounting. They threw around terms like "chart of accounts," "accrual basis," and "double-entry" without explaining any of them. They made people who were already embarrassed about their financial mess feel even worse.
The Bookkeeping Rescue Kit exists because there should be a middle ground between "shoebox of receipts" and "full enterprise accounting software." A simple, no-shame system that helps you understand your business numbers without learning a whole new vocabulary.
The Philosophy
You're not bad at money. You just need a system that fits how you actually work — not how accountants think you should work.
This kit is built on three principles:
- No jargon. Everything is in plain English. If we use a term, we define it right there.
- No judgment. Behind on your books? We've been there. The kit includes a "catching up" section, not a lecture.
- No ongoing cost required. The $97 template pack is fully functional on its own. The future subscription is optional automation, not a paywall for basic features.

Freelancer turned system-builder. After years of avoiding her own books and being condescended to by three different CPAs, she built the system she wished existed — then realized other people needed it too.
What's Next
The Bookkeeping Rescue Kit started as an Excel template pack. It's growing into a full platform — with optional cloud sync, bank transaction import, and receipt scanning coming soon as a $29/mo add-on. But the template pack will always be a standalone purchase that works without a subscription.
